Achievement Evaluation of the Gold and Silver Vice-Chancellor’s performance is scheduled during the term of study (annually) and in the event that the recipient is not able to meet any Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that is set, the scholarship can be canceled or any other action as made by the Selection Committee.

UKM Vice-Chancellor Scholarships provide the following benefits for their recipients:

Gold Vice-Chancellor’s Award

  • Free tuition (every semester) and registration (one-time) and assistance and other activities (including
    Convocation and thesis) charges.
  • The amount for living expenses of RM3200 monthly for Doctoral students. And RM2200 in the case of the master.
  • The amount for the accommodation of RM300 monthly.
  • One round-trip ticket (economy class) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
    from the home country and back return to the home country via KLIA from the home country and KLIA for International, Sabahan and
    Sarawakian candidates.
  • Cost of visa during graduate studies (International Students only).

Silver Vice-Chancellor’s Award

  • Free registration (one-time) as well as fees for tuition (every semester) charges.
  • The living allowance is RM2000 each month for Ph.D. students. and 1500 RM for Masters’s
    candidates.
  • The amount for the accommodation of RM300 each month.

Eligibility Criteria for UKM Vice-Chancellor Scholarship

To be eligible for the UKM Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Required Language: English
  • Country Eligible: All world countries

Gold Vice-Chancellor’s Award

  • The applicant must be enrolled as an academic full-time student at Research
  • For MSc applicants, the candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree
    Achievement CGPA of at minimum 3.67 or an undergraduate degree of First Class or equivalent
    from a respected university and must demonstrate the credibility of a scholar.
  • To be eligible for Ph.D. applicants, candidates should have an equivalent Master’s degree
    from a recognized university; must have published at a minimum two (2) pieces in Q2
    journal, and above as the first student journal and above as the first student author.

Silver Vice-Chancellor’s Award

  • The applicant should be enrolled as a full-time postgraduate through research or mixed mode.
  • In order to be considered MSc applicants, applicants must hold an outstanding Bachelor’s Degree and a CGPA of at least 3.67 or a First Class Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree from a respected university and must demonstrate academic credibility.
  • For Ph.D. applicants, applicants must hold an equivalent Master’s degree from a recognized university. Must have published at least two (2) papers in the Q3 journal, and more as the first student authors.
